SnapDesk is able to query measured values from your IT systems in a variety of ways and to process them for you. Use different strategies to efficiently and optimally query measured values. Only if data is processed in real time can you view it in chronological order and draw conclusions.

Systems – Define the physical hosts

Systems represent the physical host, which takes on certain functions in the IT environment.

Service – Configure the method of querying the measured values

The service includes the configuration of a clocked measured value query for real-time IT monitoring. The timing – the cyclical transmission of measured values – is specified by the respective tariff. The following types of service are available for querying measured values:

Agents – Have the measured values collected and processed

Agents are lightweight utilities that are installed either on the target system or at a central point in the network. The systems to be monitored are assigned to the agents and then take over the respective measured value queries. The collected data is transmitted to SnapDesk via the Internet.

Receive immediate notifications when the status changes in the system

SnapDesk’s excellent notification system is able to inform you about system malfunctions in your IT infrastructure at any time by email or SMS (chargeable). Care was taken to ensure that the information doesn’t overwhelm you and that you can still make the right decisions based on the consolidated meaningful message.

Use the diverse, simple and practical grouping options

The grouping options make it easier for you to deal with systems, services and agents. This enables you to transfer all configuration settings that have already been made or simply manage authorizations by assigning them to the respective group.
